Super 1650 Class Preview – Mid West Challenge

Posted on

The Super 1650 class will see 2 competitors tackle the Cochranes Transport, Mid West Challenge. With the event set to be a huge challenge for the competitors in this class, they will be battling against much more than just each other as this new event and field of 33 competitors hit the track on Saturday 19th August

253 – John Flynn is back again in his red rocket. One of the quickest 1650 peddlers in the state. Flynn will be looking to close the gap in the class championship as the current leader Daniel Allen has not entered. With a good run at Round 4 of the 2017 CAMS, Carnarvon Motel WAORC, the #253 machine could find itself on top of the class points heading into the final 2 rounds

271 – Charlie Edwards makes a return to the drivers seat after some time on the sidelines. Edwards has strong knowledge of the Mid West Challenge track as he has put significant time into setting up the event. If Edwards can use this to his advantage he will be looking good to take the class win. Always quick and a hard charger, it will be interesting to see if the #271 machine has the reliability to go the distance
