Trewhella in control heading to final round

The Western Australian Off Road Racing Championship heads to its final round at the Kalgoorlie Desert Race with multiple times former champion Adam Trewhella the champion elect. The cancellation of Three Springs has left only 4 rounds in the championship. With a drop your worst round part of the series part of the pointscore system, a competitors best 3 events will count towards their championship total. Trewhella has secured 3 wins from the 3 races so far this year, meaning he cannot be beaten for the outright title.

Behind Trewhella, Mark Cramer, Matt Dec and Kristian Pinner are in a close battle for WA 2 & 3. Behind them a plethora of SXS’s are all tightly matched from Jono Hansen, Chris Howard, Craig Moss and Jared Brindal just ahead of the sportslite of Lee Marsh and the Prolite of Michael Davis

In Pro Buggy, Trewhella again leads Cramer with Ken Madeley in 3rd making it 1-2-3 in points for the 3 car Make Tracks team. Prolite is headed by Michael Davis with Graeme Bentink hot on his heels and Ryan Print in 3rd. Sportslite is the domain of Lee Marsh whilst Super 1650 is likely to head the way of Corne De Wit

In the tin top categories, Paul Boscott is currently leading Extreme 2wd from Harleigh Uren, whilst Mathew Beck and Steven Scott are locked in a titanic battle for the Performance 2wd class honors. SXS Pro class sees Mat Dec leading from Kristian Pinner and Chris Unstead. SXS Sport is lead by Jason Stone, whilst Simon Jones is the top contender in Production 4wd. Extreme 4wd sees a tight competition between Max Bradley, Aaron Cassidy and Warren Classen
